Event reveals growing exhibitor line-up and joins the sportive trend with 46 and 75 milers for show attendees

Trek, Cervelo, BH, Clif Bar and USN sign up for Bike and Tri Show

The countdown to the first Bike and Triathlon Show, taking place at Manchester Central, has begun in earnest with just five weeks left to go, a growing exhibitor line-up and the launch of a show sportive.

The organisers, Hamerville Media Group, have revealed that the confirmed exhibitors now include (among others) Trek, Cervelo, Ibis, BH Bikes, Velocite, USN, Clif Bar, High Five, Royles and Zoggs (full list at www.bikeandtri.co.uk).

Hamerville has also announced that there will be a sportive starting and finishing at Manchester Central on Sunday morning (Feb 17th), with registration to the sportive also including a ticket to the main show with secure bike storage laid on at the venue for visitors and sportive riders. The sportive offers two timed courses – a 46 mile route and a 75 miler – and each course will feature feed stations run by USN.

At the show itself, Zoggs will be running a Swim Zone featuring an endless pool for consumers where they can receive feedback on their stroke, while Koolstof Coaching will host an in-depth VIP Coaching Zone, analysing visitors cycling techniques and fitness.

Consumer tickets are selling extremely quickly with a final marketing and PR push for the event now well underway and running until the show closes, Hamerville told BikeBiz.

Other attractions include the central stage, hosted by British Cycling, featuring cycle stars, shows, seminars and trick riding shows from Phoenix Riders Co. Vulpine will host its Vulpine fete, showcasing small and independent bike and clothing firms, while a Kids Zone and Shoretrax MTB Track will also be at the event.

Exhibiting enquiries should be directed to Aaron Dombey on 01923 237799 or adombey@hamerville.co.uk.

The sportive is being run and organised by Red Kite Events. Meanwhile we’ve got an interview with the show organisers here.
