Commuter cycling company Vulpine has announced the details of a number of major changes to the brand.
After the success of its crowd funding campaign, in which the Vulpine raised £1,000,000 in just 14 days, the company has announced that former Commercial Director of No.14 Saville Row Jonathan Baker has joined as Managing Director.
Founder Nick Hussey will remain in the business full-time as Creative Director, focusing on design, marketing and product development.
Hussey commented: “Since 2012, we’ve been pioneers of a more practical and stylish thinking in commuter cycling. Vulpine make technical gear where the technicality is hidden, so you can get on with life on the bike. We use specialist fabrics that prevent sweating, reduce odours and dry fast; we cut them for cycling and life off the bike, so you don’t need to feel unpleasant or take a change of clothing with you. We’re really proud of our SS16 range and have pulled out all the stops to make sure your life on and off the bike is the best it can be.”
Hussey said: “Jonathan brings with him a wealth of experience in the clothing trade that is invaluable to us. His commercial authority and strategic mindset are perfect for Vulpine’s future. Vulpine will now concentrate on building their ecommerce proposition, launching a new Made in Britain range later this year, and looking to international growth, with their stated aim of exit by trade sale within 5 years.”
The brand has also launched its SS16 range for commuters.
