ContiTech and Benchmark Drives have announced a partnership in which the transmission experts will share their knowledge on belt drives in order to develop the market.
Signing an agreement in Hanover, the two firms have previously set benchmarks for drivetrain technology in their respective sectors.
“With its years of experience and expertise in drive belts, ContiTech is the best partner we can ask for,” says Horst Walter, managing director at Benchmark Drives. “We look to the cooperation to result in efficient, low-maintenance drives that make every kind of cycling more convenient.”
Drive belts from ContiTech have been used for decades in the automotive industry, as well as in machinery.
Benchmark Drives already supplies the likes of Simplon and Cube with its belt drives for both standard cycles and electric bikes.
