ATG keen to make trade aware of National Apprenticeship Service incentives

Could you benefit from an apprentice and £2,500?

The ATG has told BikeBiz that retailers could be sat on a ‘pot of gold’, should they take advantage of a scheme by the National Apprenticeship Service.

Matt Goodrich of the ATG explained: "If an employer/ retailer is looking to take a young apprentice on (must be aged 16 or 17) there is a cash incentive available to them. What’s more, it’s quite a sizeable amount too – £2500."

The ATG is even willing to help retailers advertise their vacancies, as well as offering an interview before passing the candidate on to the potential employer.

This offer does run out at the end of March, so retailers should act soon to take advantage.
