Countdown to Spin London is on following Manchester edition

Spin Manchester took place at the weekend, with people coming from around the globe to the ‘cycling festival’.

With a vast list of over 150 exhibitors, talks by the likes of Joanna Rowsell and Brian Robinson and a host of activites and bikes to sample, the Manchester event will be followed up with the London edition of the show just around the corner, starting May 20th to 22nd at the Old Truman Brewery, London.

Spin Manchester saw cycle exhibitors such as Bickerton, Cinelli, Specialized and Pure Fix in attendance, with brands such as Occasional Human and Pro Cycling Trumps representing the more design-based side of the indsutry at The Art Hub

The weekend was packed full of informative and entertaining talks and panel discussions with some big names in cycling. Friday saw speaker Sam Martin discuss plans for a cycle scheme for the capital called the Sky-Cycle as well as a host of inforomation on the furthering of the Manchester cycle infrastructure. Cycling Plus editor Rob Spedding regailed the Spin crowds with a retrospective look on the 2016 bike of the year awards nominations. On Saturday, entrepreneurs Anna Glowinski and Alicia Bamford gave a talk on starting new businesses in the cycling industry. Sunday saw Olympic champion Joanna Rowsell in conversation with Michelle Arthurs-Brennan of Total Womens’ Cycling to packed crowd of eager onlookers, and a panel talk from Cup North’s Hannah Davies and Rocardo Gandra, to discuss cycling subcultures and tripes within the community.
