UK's biggest MTB event runs this Saturday and Sunday

Crowds of 16,000 expected at Fort William this weekend

The finishing touches are being added to Nevis Range course at Fort William, where 300 riders from 28 different countries battle for World Cup glory this weekend.

The UCI Mountain Bike World Cup and BUFF 4X Pro Tour gets underway on Saturday 6th June, with over 16,000 people expected over the next few days. Tickets are available on arrival.

The BUFF 4X Pro Tour pits four riders against each other in knock-out action, on a shorter course. Scottish street trials rider and YouTube sensation Danny MacAskill will also bring his Drop and Roll team to the Highlands.

Mike Jardine, from event organisers Rare Management, said: “The Fort William Mountain Bike World Cup and BUFF 4X Pro Tour is acclaimed throughout the world for its special atmosphere and non-stop action, making it one of the must-see events in the Scottish sporting calendar.

“This weekend will see the World’s top downhill and 4X riders battle it out on the slopes, and with Danny MacAskill bringing the Drop and Roll tour along with lots more to see and do for both mountain bike fans and families over the two days, this year is not to be missed!”
