Firm to celebrate birth of CSG UK and launch 2011 ranges at new trade show

CSG UK ‘Rides the Revolution’ in August

Newly formed Cycling Sports Group UK is hosting its debut ‘Ride the Revolution’ trade show this summer.

Running from August 9th to 13th at the company’s headquarters in Poole, Dorset, ‘Ride the Revolution’ will launch 2011 product and celebrate the creation of the new firm.

Cannondale owner Dorel bought the family business, formerly known as Hot Wheels, last year. Dorel also own GT and Mongoose – two brands that were already distributed by Hot Wheels. The acquisition saw CSG UK offer its brands increased support and resources in terms of sales team, warehousing and logistics.

"We’re not going to kid ourselves and say that we have everything exactly how we want it already. That will take more time,” commented Russell Merry, joint managing director at Cycling Sports Group. “But we are making significant steps to ensure our complete portfolio has exactly what is needed to grow in today’s market, not forgetting more support for our dealers."

‘Ride the Revolution’ trade show will preview new ranges from Cannondale, Charge, GT, Mongoose, Summer and WeThePeople. The latest parts from Charge, Eclat and Xposure will also be on display alongside clothing from Cannondale and Surface. Global product managers will be on hand to present key tech and products to retailers and press.

Merry added: "Being able to see the product early is fundamental to every retailer’s success and among all the bikes, parts and clothing I’m sure the odd beer or two will be drunk."
