Brand promises to revolutionise the way people shop for bikes

Customisable ‘MyVelo’ bikes launch

West London-based cycle brand MyVelo has launched this month, offering what it calls a revolutionary way for customers to choose and customise their bike.

The bikes can be personalised and designed in person at MyVelo’s West London showroom or online, for £375. At www.myvelo.co.uk, customers can choose the colour of the frame, wheels, rims, mudguards, saddle and grips – in white, blue, green, black, red and mauve. The site also includes a ‘randomise’ option to inspire imagination-challenged customers.

When the colours are picked the bike will be created and delivered within three weeks.

The hybrid sports cycle is available for women and men, with a lightweight aluminium alloy frame, 21 speed Shimano gears, an Italian Selle Bassano 3 zone comfort seat and Kenda puncture resistant tyres.

“Cycling is a great way to save money, keep fit and have fun,” enthused MyVelo founder Raj Tandon. “MyVelo gives consumers choice and enables them to personalise their bike. If they want blue mudguards with a green frame then why shouldn’t they have it? I expect some users will even buy more than one set of mudguards. That way they will then be able to change the colours to suit their mood.

“Buying a bike should be fun and customers should be proud of their new purchase. I know people will love the way that they can design and personalise with MyVelo.”
