Show grows again beating last year's 20,000 significantly

Cycle ’09 drew 23,000 consumers

Over 23,000 consumers attended this year’s Cycle Show at Earls Court, approximately 3,000 more than last year.

The eighth annual show offered more attractions than ever before, managing to bag a number of ‘A-list’ cycle celebrities, including Tour De France 2009 champion Alberto Contador.

A number of interactive attractions were present too, including the Tirol Test track and a chance to try out TfL’s rental bikes, due to be scattered around central London in the coming months.

The show also offered more to female cyclists than ever before. The Cycle Systems Academy (formerly Bike Doctor) scheduled women’s only maintenance lesson, while Amy Fleuriot discussed the issues facing women who cycle on the main stage.
