Sunderland’s Cycleworld UK won Sunderland Echo’s ‘independent retailer of the year’ at an awards show held on Sunday night.
The judging panel consisted of Sunderland Echo editor Rob Lawson; Janet Snaith, former head of business investment for Sunderland City Council; and John Green of The Bridges shopping centre in Sunderland.
“The quality of entries was above expectations," said Green.
