Shared space to host three businesses

Cycling cooperative opening near Richmond Park this week

Saturday 12th September will see the official launch of a new cycling cooperative – Cycle Exchange.

It’s a venture between three independent early phase businesses in SW London. Occupying a shared space in a cycling hotspot near Richmond Park, the Bike Exchange – Café – Workshop brings three services for cyclists together under one roof.

Road Cycle Exchange had been operating online, focusing on the buying and selling of pre-owned performance road and triathlon bikes. The firm said: "To take our already successful business to the next level we needed a bricks and mortar showroom. Similarly ‘The Bicycle Service’ who already worked with RCE to service and refurbish their stock, needed a workshop space to give them easy access to cyclists in the area and grow their universal servicing and repair business. After finding the right spot there was an obvious missing link – coffee – so in stepped ‘The Selfish Bean’."

For the launch day there’ll be free bike checks, coffee and cakes and other giveaways.
