The eye-catching Hovding airbag for cyclists is now available to the bike trade via exclusive distributor The Cycling Revolution.
The new distributor focuses on offering "revolutionary products", is looking to start accepting bit coins and has recently signed up keyless, electronic bike security product Skylock.
Demand for Hovding’s airbag has risen since last summer, the distributor told us, with the price now down from £250 to £219 resulting in an "amazing uptake" throughout the UK.
UK sales manager Benjamin Mossman told BikeBiz: "For the past couple of years we have kept ourselves small at The Cycling Revolution, with three members of staff including the founder, John Adisi.
"We are seeing a rapid growth of our business and will soon be operating from our brand new HQ the Deptford railway arch which will also double up as our first London showroom/retail space. We are also hiring back office support staff as well as increasing our sales team to an additional 10 key people around the country.
"We are now looking for new exciting retailers as we get called all the time from customers looking for our products around the country."
Skylock is pitched as a smart bike lock that connects to smartphones to provide keyless entry, theft detection, crash alerts and more. The Cycling Revolution is looking to bring the product to stores later this year.
"We are the new kids on the block and are serious in supplying bike stores with revolutionary avant garde products that sell with great margin. We also operate a very ethical business and offer our female members of staff flexible working days at different times of the month to reflect their natural cycle, the idea being to make a positive difference in the working environment. We will also start to accept bit coins with the imminent launch of our new website."
