Fly12 availabilty is go.

Cycliq’s front-facing HD camera hits the shops

Cycliq’s Fly12 camera and light combo is now available in shops. The Fly12 is an HD camera and front light that can overlay data from Strava. In camera-only mode it can record for up to 10 hours. Like the Fly6 rear-facing camera (which is 780 compared to the Fly12’s 1080 camera) the Fly12 records on loop. The light also features ‘Incident Capture Technology’. Footage is automatically saved in the event of an incident. A 16GB Class 10 microSD card is included in the pack.

Fly12 features wifi and Bluetooth for connectivity to the CycliqPlus app. Strava integration adds a choice of Strava ride characteristics such as speed, power, heart rate and map location, which can be overlaid onto the final video edit. Fly12 purchasers receive three months free Strava Premium membership.

The Fly12 app also features a bike alarm. Once armed, any movement of the bike will set off an audible alarm, start the light flashing and turn on the camera. An alert is then also sent to the paired smartphone notifying the bicycle’s owner.

Jeroen van Zon, Marketing Manager of Cycliq said: “Fly12 is already in the hands of our Kickstarter backers after a second successful funding campaign, and we’re really excited now to be announcing worldwide stock availability. Fly12 not only helps us share the joy of cycling with our friends with dynamic Strava overlays, but helps keep us as cyclists and our bikes safe. Our rear facing Fly6 camera has already been used successfully in a number of police and insurance cases involving cyclists and other road users.”

Fly12 retails £249. Designed in Australia the Cycliq front and rear facing camera-lights are available from Raleigh.
