Dartmoor Classic promotor Mid Devon CC has announced Pirelli as a new event partner for 2018.
Club chairman Andrew Perkins explained: "I was aware that Pirelli have returned to the world of cycling last year and we’re ‘over the moon’ that they have chosen the Dartmoor Classic to promote the new range and very proud to be associated with such an iconic brand."
Stephen Hayes, head of marketing at Extra UK, added: "Pirelli are renowned for their technological expertise and their involvement in motorsport so it’s very exciting to see them returning to the world of cycling after a period of absence. We’re very pleased to be partnering with the Dartmoor Classic and to have an opportunity to show off the new range to the 4,000 riders who will take on the gruelling event. We’ve watched the event grow from strength to strength over the last 12 years into one of the Country’s leading sportives, so for us, a premier event was an obvious partner for Pirelli’s premier tyres."
The current Pirelli range of tyres includes Pirelli PZero Velo, Pirelli PZero Velo TT and the Pirelli PZero Velo 4S – the tyres are available in a wide range of widths. Pirelli has also just launched the Cinturato Velo tubeless tyre; stock will be coming into Extra UK in the near future.
