David Walsh cleans up in SJA British Sports Journalism Awards

For his work in exposing Lance Armstrong as a drugs cheat, David Walsh of the Sunday Times won two awards at last night’s SJA British Sports Journalism Awards. He won both the Sports News Reporter and Sports Feature Writer awards, the first time this double honour has been achieved in the long-running history of the awards.

The Sports Journalists’ Association’s annual British Sports Journalism Awards was staged at the Grand Connaught Rooms in central London.

Other notable winners included Clare Balding as broadcaster of the year for her BBC and Channel 4 work on the Olympics and Paralympics.
