The catch is it won't work if you're bike's not parked in a wi-fi zone!

Designer creates wi-fi alert bicycle lock concept

According to BikeRumor, inventor and designer Steve Hunt has created a concept for a bicycle lock capable of alerting the owner to tampering via a wi-fi link to any modern smart phone.

Utilising a wi-fi card to work, there is a catch, your bike needs to be parked in a wi-fi zone, which for the majority of workplaces shouldn’t be a problem. Though the lock is sturdy looking in design, the concept does rely on the owner being happy to confront a thief in progress.
