Seventies, Fisher Outdoor Leisure, Upgrade, CSG UK and Madison among those grabbing industry prizes

BikeBiz Awards 2012: The distributor winners

IBDs and online specialist retailers alike won retail prizes in the BikeBiz Awards 2012 last week.

Taking place on Wednesday September 26th, over 200 members of the trade gathered for the Awards night at the Hilton Metropole NEC.

This year the Awards offered more chances to win in the distribution category, splitting the category down into five separate awards. Seventies Distribution picked up the prize in the new Specialist Distributor category, honouring firms best known for servicing a particular sector or piece of the cycle market. Next up, Hertfordshire-based Fisher Outdoor Leisure took the P&A Sales Team prize, while Upgrade Bikes won the P&A Marketing Team award. On the bikes side, CSG UK scored the Bike Distributor Sales Team prize, while Madison picked up the Bike Distributor Marketing Team award on the night.

Platinum Partner for the BikeBiz Awards 2012 was Gatorade, with Event Partners NRG4, Cycle-SOS and Mio also supporting the trade prizes as Event Partners. Competition Partner Cycleguard awarded a case of wine to one lucky attendee on the night.

The Awards were lobbied for and voted by the cycle industry. The 50+ judges will be listed in the November issue of BikeBiz, out in three weeks time.
