Tannus Tyres has signed Coyote Sports as its UK distributor, with stock available from this month.
The solid tyre brand marks its first full year trading with the deal. Coyote managing director Iain Pollit-Walmsley said: “Coyote Sports is excited to be involved with Tannus and looks forward to the growth in the solid tyre market.
“We are looking to increase the dealer base throughout the UK and feel that there is a huge opportunity for dealers to not only sell the tyres, but offer a fitting service.“
Jazz Walia, European director of Tannus said: “It’s an exciting time for us. Coyote have a great track record and it signals the start of the next chapter for us.
“The tyres, which barely a year ago no-one had heard of, will soon be on sale in up to 800 shops across the UK.
“We are now turning our attention to Europe and we will be exhibiting at the Euro Bike Show August 26 to August 29.”
Tannus sales have been boosted by the release earlier this year of the new Aither 1.1 tyre.
It weighs just 380 grams and compares favorably to an average road bike tyre, inner tube and rim tape and comes at a standard equivalent to 100psi pressure.
