Manchester ski, mountaineering and now cycle clothing brand Dare 2b to be distributed by Derby's Moore Large.

Dare 2b and Moore Large sign partnership deal

Dare 2b of Manchester has signed a distribution partnership with Moore Large.

Dale Smith, accessories director of Moore Large said: “We had been looking for the right apparel brand to fill a gap in our portfolio for a very long time. When we saw Dare 2b’s latest cycling specific ranges we knew it would be the perfect solution. Dare 2b produces high quality products that are perfect for our UK dealer base and their customers."

The new partnership is set to commence in February 2014.

Dare2b is a family-owned British ski and mountaineering clothing brand. At Eurobike it exhibited a sixteen piece urban cycle collection. Items from the range include 360 degrees reflective detailing, air ventilation outlets, d-lock storage hooks and have been designed as cycle-specific first but made to look ‘normal’ away from the bike.

The spring summer 2014 collection includes mens’ and womens’ shirts, vests, jackets, trousers, shorts and hoodies. The top-of-the-line Nimbus jacket is waterproof and breathable thanks to Ared 5000 coated nylon fabric. It features under arm ventilation eyelets. The articulated sleeve design is cycle-specific. The jacket has a rear zipped pocket and a strap for attaching an LED.

Dare 2b is owned by the Black family who have three generations’ experience in making waterproofs. The Dare2b brand was established in 1999. The company employs 400 people and exports to more than 30 countries, with dedicated sales offices in France, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and Spain. Dare2b increased its presence in the UK cycle market during 2013 by sponsoring ITV’s The Cycle Show.
