Shown earlier this year, Forme off shoot will offer three debut bikes spanning £399 to £499

Formeula kids brand to land with Moore Large in July

Moore Large will take stock of Forme sister brand Formeula from July, with three models making up the new kid’s range.

Launched earlier this year at the Today’s Cyclist dealer show, the children’s bikes off shoot was well-received by dealers who placed strong pre orders.

Forme Bikes assistant brand manager Andy Liversidge says the current range of three drop bar models include a 24", 26" and a 700c wheel bike, all ergonomically designed to offer optimum control, function and fun for the younger rider.

Liversidge added: "There’s many kids bikes available on the market which don’t tick the required boxes that parents and children are looking for, we feel with the launch of Formeula we’re a 100 per cent there. We’ve been up and down the country researching the market at youth events and Go Ride sessions and most parents, children and qualified cycling coaches all requested the same thing, a lightweight bike with ergonomics that put the young rider in full control. Our bikes do exactly that and are specifically designed to suit smaller hands, arms and leg lengths, plus they all have restricted race ready gear ratio’s so there is no after purchase fiddling required should your child be considering racing.

"All bikes are built on a strong, lightweight 6061 Aluminium frame with mudguard eyelets, and come supplied with two sets of tyres; one slick for road use, and one with a tread for cross riding which is a real key selling feature. Our price points start at £399.99 for the 24", £449.99 for the 26" and £499.99 for the 700c. We’re expecting them to be a huge influence on getting more children cycling because of their versatility, looks and overall function."

The new brand has also spent time developing a fully interactive website that includes features like the informative ‘Bike School’.
