Geared Autumn, part two

Shortly after the doors closed for Geared Autumn, we brought you the first instalment of focal points from the event. Below you’ll find more highlights from the show and the Moore Large range.

One of the most prominent brands on display as soon as you walk through the showroom doors is Polygon. Moore Large has now enlarged the range for 2018 to include affordable Hardtails from £375. Although they’re not available until March, there is still much interest surrounding the Xquarone Ex that made its debut at the event. Pinkbike said: "This Polygon has to be one of the most charismatic and contradictory bikes of the last decade". Concluding their review with, "but if you’re the kind of rider who either has to or wants to pedal to the summit, yet also wants what is essentially a sharp handling downhill bike in disguise, the EX9 might be just the ticket."

Moving onto kid’s bicycles, the 2018/2019 range of Bumper pavement bikes range from dinosaurs to dollies. Bumper bikes are constructed from quality components ensuring these bikes are safe and strong. One thing that sets Bumper apart from the competition is the extensive range of sizes from a 10" balance bike, moving onto 12", 14", 16", 18" and even 20" wheel sizes.

American Classic has just released their 3430 wheelset after a season of testing by the Commencal EWS team and world champion Cecile Ravenel. The spec is in the name – it is a thick and robust 34mm external, 30mm internal tubeless alloy rim explicitly designed for hard-hitting trail and enduro use. It is available in 27.5", 29" and both standard and boost options.

Tigra has created a new way for people to keep their hands free when they’re on the go. The two-piece modular design means there is no need for users to change their phone case for each mount. The low-profile case slides perfectly into your pocket and lays flat on any surface. FitClic Neo’s patent-pending design cleverly employs a combination of small magnets to perform a mechanical twist-locking motion automatically.

Joe’s were showing off their funky new packaging as well as their brand-new ‘Elite’ sealant which has been scientifically developed to meet the high demands of professional mountain bike racers. The demonstration is insane, this stuff instantly seals punctures in the tread up to 6mm! Sealing small slits faster and more permanently than anything else on the market, it is suitable for use in tubeless tyres, tubular, and inner tubes.

There were also comprehensive ranges on show from the distributors favourite brands such as Proviz, Kenda, Jagwire, Onguard, Ducksmart, ETC, Super B, Alpina, and Sigma. We can’t say too much at this stage, but a few new signings were being previewed at the show. Let’s just say, you won’t need to keep your eye’s peeled for Livall helmets, and we’ll see if you sniff out the new rose scented SIXS sportswear.
