Steel brand has fixed gear market in its sights

Hubjub bringing Tange steel to the UK

Distributor Hubjub is to bring steel brand Tange to the UK bike trade.

Tange has been in business since 1920, originally producing forks before growing to offer steel tubing. It was responsible for the Prestige double butted tubing which rivaled tubes from established players like Reynolds and Columbus in the ’80s.

As the industry moved to aluminium and composites, Tange fell on hard times. But with something of a resurgence in traditional steel bicycles the brand has turned around and now offers a full range of tube-sets as well as aftermarket P&A.

Playing on its heritage with early BMX and MTB, the brand is being relaunched in the UK via Hubjub, with a keen focus on the fixed gear market.

Hubjub is also European distributor of Rawland Cycles, a small designer of versatile all-road bikes, with a French Porteur twist.
