Madison is ceasing Commencal distribution at the end of the season.
A statement from Madison, just released to dealers, reads:
"After five years of being the exclusive distributor of Commencal in the UK, Madison will say adieu at the end of this season.
Madison will continue to wholeheartedly support the brand and the dealerbase throughout the rest of the 2010/2011 season, including the launch of the much anticipated DH bike as being ridden by the Atherton Racing team in the up coming World Cup.
“We have been through an exciting period with Commencal and we have thoroughly enjoyed working with their talented team but Madison has grown and changed significantly during that same period and now has different priorities to those in 2006 when we first started working together,” explained Madison CEO, Dominic Langan.
Our priorities remain with our customers in ensuring the season runs smoothly and that the brand is still well supported during this transitional period.
We genuinely wish Commencal every success for the future."
Shortly after the announcement, Madison boss Dominic Langan tweeted: "It is official. @ukmadison will cease distribution of Commencal at the end of the season. We had good times but we want to focus on Saracen."
