Spanish bike brand Massi debuted two 29er builds at Eurobike, also informing BikeBiz of it’s desire to do more business with UK retail.
The 2012 model year will see the introduction of two 29er models, the unidirectional monocoque carbon Pro 29 and aluminium Trax. BikeBiz was also told that custom build options are available with a choice of Shimano and Campagnolo components, followed shortly by SRAM’s introduction to stock.
Eurobike also saw the introduction of Massi’s Air Carbon bike – an internal cable routed UHM carbon build designed specifically for the demands of cross country. According to Massi: "Thecomposition is based on the triple triangle; this set consists of the main triangle, the connecting rod and the rear. This gives it a great lateral stability and greater rigidity; it also increases the absorption of the imperfections of ground."
Furthermore, the brand believes its ZX-3 could be a big seller on UK shores. The aluminium frame again carries internal cable routing and works around Massi’s ‘Void’ suspension system – based around the concept of a virtual pivot point, eliminating loss of power through pedalling.
