Science in Sport Caffiene Go
Various distributors

A fresh caffeine product has been added to the SiS Go range in the form of the Hydro + gel.
The new Cola flavoured sachets contain 75mg of caffeine and will give athletes 22 grams of carbohydrate per gel.
Caffeine has also been repeatedly shown by sport scientists to improve performance by providing both a physical and mental boost. In addition to altering muscle metabolism, caffeine can also have direct effects on the brain by improving not only reaction times but also lowering our perception of effort for a given workload.
An effervescent tablet is also now available that breaks down in water to provide a 500ml dose of hydration and electrolyte replacement.
SiS GO Hydro + Caffeine will be available in 10 and 20-packs and priced at £3.99 and £6.99 accordingly. SiS GO + Caffeine Gels are priced at £1.79 each.

Shimano XC90 MTB shoe
Madison: 01908 326000

Shimano has redeveloped its off-road flagship shoe, introducing the XC90. The XC90 employs Dynalast technology to reduce braking loss and enhance pedaling efficiency. Having designed the shoe with optimal sole stiffness in mind, combined with a 1.7mm lower profile (compared to the earlier M315 model) the XC90 is an efficient mover, with power transfer more efficient than ever.
Spikes and blocks on the outsoles are arranged in an optimal dirt-shedding pattern to cope on even the muddiest trails. Furthermore, the toe spikes are now replaceable, meaning they can easily be swapped out dependant on the terrain being tackled.
A redesigned Rovenica leather upper gives a top quality finish to a shoe that weighs in at just 627 grams for a size 40. To alleviate pressure on the upper foot, the strap’s fastening section has been relocated to the side of the shoe.
Shimano recommends pairing the new flagship with its PD-M980 pedal.
