The Irish Cycling Show is returning to the heart of the capital for its fourth edition.

Running from April 18th to 19th 2015, the show is returning to the RDS Main Hall - 'the most popular exhibition venue in Ireland', we're told - following its one-off tie-in with the start of the Giro d’Italia in Merrion Square last year.

Bookings have already been confirmed from some of the biggest bike firms in Ireland including Trek, Kona and Madison Bikes, and further partnerships are scheduled for release in the coming months.

Event promoter Hugh Bonner of Mara Media said: “It’s great to be back in the RDS and particularly in the Main Hall which has consistently generated the biggest public footfall for exhibitions over many years.

“Ballsbridge is a superb location just minutes by bike from the city centre and it’s important that we bring the show to the people who have supported it in the first three years. The event is now established as one of the highlights of the spring season and for many, it’s the signal that it’s time to really get going on the bike as the weather improves.

“For 2015, we have brought the Irish Cycling Show forward a few weeks to better synchronise with people’s purchasing plans and we’ll be bringing them a show where they can see the best possible selection of bikes parts and accessories all under one roof.

“We’ll also have plenty of other attractions to whet the appetite including star appearances, bike rides, a test track, seminars, interviews and plenty more to keep everyone entertained throughout the weekend.”

Trek Bikes have been present at the show since its inception. Laura Maher of Trek said: “We are delighted to be supporting the fourth Annual Irish Cycling Show which is taking place in the prestigious RDS Main Hall for 2015. We look forward to displaying all the finest bikes Trek has to offer over the course of the weekend".

Kona Bikes is another bike brand making a fourth consecutive appearance at Ireland’s dedicated bike exhibition.

Kona's Jim Holstrom said: “It is always a pleasure to see the passion of the Irish cyclist when they visit us at the Irish bike show in Dublin. It will be our fourth year in a row that we the owners of Kona personally present our line-up at the show. We can't wait to show you all our newest models, see you all soon!"

Following on from last year’s inaugural event, One4all Women on Wheels Bike Ride will start and finish at the Irish Cycling Show on Saturday April 18th. Supported once again by One4All Bikes4Work, the event is a 30km women’s-only charity bike ride expected to attract a five figure entry list.

Michael Dawson of One4all added: “This will be the second year of One4all Women on Wheels, Ireland’s first ever female only charity cycle in Ireland and we have huge expectations!

“The cycle is a really fun challenge and a great chance for participants to raise money for charities close to their hearts. This year after the cycle, all our cyclists will be able to have a well-deserved break at the Irish Cycling Show and there will be a few rewards in store.”
