SRAM’s latest Zipp wheel launch, the 808 NSW (Nest Speed Weaponry), will be exclusively available from Fisher Outdoor Leisure in the UK trade.
The Zipp NSW series is pitched as "a science, a philosophy and a mission to engineer the fastest, most stable and highest performance cycling components ever realised and is named after the ‘The Nest’, a windowless, high-security advanced development lab in the Zipp factory."
These wheels retail for £2,350.00, can save 90 seconds over an Ironman distance course, the brand said, and will be available from December.
Fisher is also out signing up the first dealers to be part of the wireless groupset SRAM Red eTap when it lands in January. This new groupset will be available in very limited quantities in the first half of the year and special dealer packages will be available from January through to May, with no confirmation of additional deliveries until later next year.
SRAM Red eTap has garnered early praise from the media, including: “Simplicity in operation; cleanliness in setup; freedom in satellite shifter placement; no performance degradation, simple to pair but impossible to hack”. Fisher said there were queues of people waiting to use the shifters at the Cycle Show.
