EBCO expands team with two new members of staff

The Electric Bike Corporation has grown once again with the arrival of two new members of staff.

Matt Grant joins EBC with a 17-year background in the cycle trade both as a successful former bike shop owner and, more recently, as an area account manager at Raleigh UK, where he quickly discovered the rising prominence of the electric bike industry.

Grant is a keen sportsman and cycling enthusiast with his own collection of both mountain and road bikes. He devotes a great deal of his leisure time to cycling. Most recently, he completed the London To Paris ride and a tour across Italy. This year, Sardinia beckons.

“This is an incredibly exciting time to be joining EBC, especially with the continued growth in the e-bike market. Both the EBCO and Corratec brands offer such great opportunities to open up cycling to all ages and abilities; for commuters and for those wanting to travel further afield in style and relative ease. It is great to be working for such a leading E-bike company and I am really looking forward to visiting dealers in the coming weeks,” commented Grant.

Along with Grant, new team member Birgit Riimann joins EBC as customer service/ sales office administrator.

"Originally from Tallinn, Estonia I moved to the UK back in 2012 where I worked at NOW TV as a service operations executive before I decided my life needed a change,” commented Riimann. “After living in London for almost five years, I moved to Leamington Spa and I couldn’t be happier. Joining EBC as a sales administrator has been an eye-opener for me as I didn’t know much about electric bikes before now, however, I am learning quickly and getting there!

“I have joined the small but amazing team on a temporary basis until Larissa Windsor returns from her maternity leave. I’m not going to lie, I have big shoes to fill as Larissa has built some amazing relationships with dealers in the UK and I am looking forward to furthering those relationships.”

EBC MD Paul Stanforth added: "We are delighted to grow our team at a time when the E-bike market continues to grow as dealers see the potential of this fast-growing sector and we are excited to be at the forefront of the UK E-bike market. Our two new members of staff are really going to help us to continue and grow the excellent service that we offer to all our retailers.”

Matt Grant will start the role on Wednesday, February 21
