Cycle to work scheme friendly e-bikes for men and women revealed

EBCO launches two sub £1,000 electric bikes

Electric bike brand EBCO has announced two sub £1,000 bikes, making the brand accessible to cycle to work scheme buyers for the first time.

Both the UCR and UCL (low step over) electric bikes, for men and women, respectively, utilise Shimano Nexus three-speed internal hub gears and Alivio V-brakes with ‘motor cut off’ brake levers.

Commenting on the bike, Paul Stanforth, EBCO’s managing director said: "As a complete package the Urban Commuter 30 bikes will deliver a ride to work comfortable, sweat free journey. If only work was as much fun as EBCO commuting."

Carrying a lithium ion battery, each bike has a cycle of around 19 to 22 miles assistance per charge on eco mode, with a recharge time of six hours.

A handlebar-mounted LED screen displays the three power support modes, provided by the TranzX-PST brushless high torque electric motor.
