Emerson Roberts, sales and marketing director at Brompton Bicycle, will be leaving the London folding bike company on 23rd June and will relinquish his non-executive directorships with Brompton Dock and Brompton Asia. He is to become the managing director of Bowens of Clacton, a photographic lighting company, founded in 1923.
Roberts joined Brompton in January 2006 as marketing manager. He went on to join the board in 2010.
Since he joined Brompton has grown its exports by 80 percent and introduced Brompton Junction stores.
Brompton MD Will Butler-Adams said: :Emerson has been at the heart of the team that has delivered the success at Brompton and we will be sorry to see him go. He is leaving us to take up a new opportunity and is taking his Brompton with him! We wish him all the best with his new venture and will certainly see him in the future."
