Evans to close Aberdeen and Preston stores

Evans Cycles has announced that its Aberdeen and Preston stores will close on Friday 19th July.

Once closed, the nearest alternative store to Aberdeen is in Edinburgh, 90 miles away, and the nearest alternative store to Preston is Manchester Trafford, 24 miles away.

Any click and collect orders that have not been collected from these stores before the closing date will be returned to Evans’ central warehouse, and the retailer is advising customers to contact them to arrange home delivery or transfer to an alternative store.

The retailer recently celebrated the launch of a new store in Shirebrook on 25th May. Making up over 4,000 square feet inside the Tri UK store, the branch will house almost 100 bikes for customers to try out as well as the latest products from brands including Trek, Brompton, Fox Clothing and Gore Wear. This follows the previous month’s launch of the Glasgow Fort store.

Evans was sold to Sports Direct as part of a pre-pack administration last year.
