Attendance up 15-20 per cent year-on-year, say organisers.

CoreBike 2009: IBDs flock to Northamptonshire

Attendance at this year’s trade-only event being held in the Whittlebury Hotel, near Silverstone, has jumped 15-20 per cent, according to Core’s Elaine Curtin.

She told BikeBiz: “Dealer sign-up did take a massive jump in the last few weeks leading to the show. I think many IBDs were quite reserved because of the dire weather, but things really jumped in the past fortnight and sign up has beaten last year’s by 15 to 20 per cent.”

She added: “40 per cent of the weekend crowd are staying through Monday, probably to take part in another night of festivities. Dealers appear very buoyant about business this year despite predicting having to work a lot harder.”
