A snapshot of what you can expect to find at Friedrichshafen in August

Eurobike 2014 previews: Kask, BBB, Velo and A2B

The super international show that is Eurobike starts with the Demo Day on Tuesday August 26th, followed by the show proper running Wednesday 27th to Saturday 30th, Saturday being the dreaded incredibly busy consumer day.

KASK
The helmet brand is being a big tease with its first move into a new market, with ‘a brand new style of helmet’.

Kask will also be providing first hands-on demonstrations of its Protone helmets at the Eurobike Demo Day. Find them on the Demo Day at stand DD-609 and throughout the show at hall B2-204.

BBB
The brand’s new Signal Lights will be on the booth (A3-102). These mini-USB rechargeable front and rear lights can be mounted virtually anywhere with silicone straps and use one super-bright COB (Chips On Board) LED.

Velo
Two new saddles from Velo are the Senso Miles VL 1684 and 1683. Both pitched at male road riders, the 1684 is for lond distance riders who want to combine a light (127g) streamlined saddle with some comfort for many miles in the saddle, while the 1683 is ‘practically weightless open wing’ (WOW) for top competition category road racing (98g).

A2B
Eurobike is a mecca for e-bikes, which is probably why A2B will be launching its eSocialBike technology there (H4-605). Using Siteal tech, it includes route planning and GPS and – here’s the clever bit – gathers diagnostics and maintenance info from a chip housed in the e-bike’s battery compartment. It’s all in aid of letting A2B owners stay up to date with their bike maintenance, with warranty notifications and giving dealers a direct dialogue with their customers, so says the press release.

As any sane human knows, this is only a tiny fraction of what will be on show at Eurobike 2014. So if you want to be included in our next round-up send an image and info to BikeBiz@intentmedia.co.uk (space permitting).
