EUROBIKE 2011: Show kicks off with a successful Demo Day showing

Eurobike Demo Day 2011 breaks records

This year the sun shone on Eurobike’s Demo Day, breaking attendance records in the good weather.

New products and innovations from 116 exhibitors and brands appeared on the Demo Day, which took place yesterday (Tuesday August 30th) before the official opening of Eurobike.

In total, 1,840 visitors attended the Demo Day, with 608 media representatives from 34 countries.

Last year exhibitors had to contend with flooded exhibition grounds.

Now in its fifth year the Agenbuhl, Germany-set event saw five test tracks for journalists and trade to test the latest road, folding, city, mountain and e-bikes.

Klaus Wellman, Messe Friedrichshafen’s CEO, said: “We couldn’t imagine a better start to the show. The Eurobike Demo Day offers a unique combination of a trade show featuring the newest innovations in cycling and a bike festival and is always very well received by our customers.”

Eurobike project leader Stefan Reisinger added: “Argenbühl was an important factor in today’s success – they provided us with many volunteers and received the biking world with open arms.”
