Four day exhibition at Messe Munchen draws good spread from all over the globe

ISPO Bike draws 6,000 trade professionals

ISPO Bike has closed its doors having drawn 6,000 industry professionals over the four days of show.

According to show oragnisers, visitors came from 46 countries to see a total of 290 exhibitors, with a ‘big rise’ in visits from China, Taiwan and the Czech Republic.

A show floor survey concludes that 53 percent of visitors believe ISPO BIKE will continue to grow in importance, largely down to the quality of visitor – many said to be ‘decision makers’.

Klaus Dittrich, CEO at Messe Munchen International, believes that the electric market is driving the show’s growth, among other things. 250 e-bikes featured on the show’s test track.

“With our clear strategic orientation towards the E-Bike, Pedelec and Urban Biking topics, we have now taken an important step in our direction as a leading platform for bicycle mobility. Both of these focus points grew this year in both quality and quantity,” said Dittrich.

More than 10,000 consumers visited Ispo Bike at the weekend once trade audiences had departed. This figure is lower than in previous years and has been blamed on the cancellation of the dirty jump competition, which made way for a higher concentration of electric bike features.
