Drift HD helmet camera used for half-loop of new NEC track

VIDEO: BikeBiz tackles the Cycle Show test track

For those who missed it, BikeBiz had a roll thorugh the Cycle Show’s ‘Dare 2B’ mountain bike test track, capturing the ‘action’ on a Drift HD helmet camera.

Available from Action Cameras in the UK and used by athletes such as Steve Peat, the 1080p camera can be controlled via a handy pocket-sized remote. Video playback, via an in-built screen and nine-megapixel still photo shooting are other features packed into the tiny unit. The wide angle lens is also rotatable through 360-degees.

The below video shows around 70 per cent of the Cycle Show test track, which features some technical and tight berms, rock gardens and pumps. The track itself gets the thumbs up from us here at BikeBiz and as you’ll see from the ‘traffic’ hit in the video, it went down well with the crowds on the consumer and trade days alike.
