USE reveals new technology and new lines, including the Flash, Flare and Six Pack

Exposure unveils brand new cycle lights

USE has given BikeBiz details of its 2011 ranges, including new models, brighter and higher quality LEDs and Smart Port Technology Plus.

Across the range LEDs have become 30 per cent brighter, with improved light ‘quality’ and enhanced lens technology. The firm has also introduced the ‘Mk’ suffix to flag the difference between products year-to-year.

The improved SPT+ allows RedEye rear lights to be plugged in and instantly recognised by the light when operational, with no need to ‘activate the SPT’ to get the rear light to turn on, said the firm.

The Flash (£40) is among the key products of the 2011 range, according to USE. This new single cell front light with XPG LED can run on the supplied disposable cell or be rechargeable. With solid and flash modes, a side illumination head and silicon band mounting bracket, the light is pitched at commuters and as a back pocket ‘get you home’ light.

The Flare (also £40) is a cable-free version of the RedEye. Bright enough to be seen day or night, this safety-improving light is fully waterproof and has a solid mode or flash mode. The light is pitched at anyone cycling on the road, whether they’re a time triallist, triathlete or commuter.

The range also includes the Joystick Mk.5 (£165), the Diablo Mk.2 (£200), the Strada Mk.2 (£245), the MaXx-D Mk.3 (£325) and the Six Pack (£450). The latter is a top of the range model with almost twice the output of the 2010 MaXx-D and 1,800 lumens in a cable-free package.

Rory Hitchens said of the brand: “Exposure Lights has really boosted not just USE’s business but our dealers fortunes too. It’s a prime example of delivering a more advanced product that fits our technological world and exceeds consumer expectations.

"We don’t see the LED revolution slowing down and our 2011 range is testament to the continued hard work here at USE to be at the forefront of that revolution. I sincerely believe this is, by a mile, the best quality lighting range on the market anywhere today. And it’s British designed and British manufactured.”
