Two new models tucking under the C2W bracket

Falcon announces E-bike addition to catalogue

Falcon Cycles has announced that two electric bike models will feature in its new catalogue.

Crucially, both models tuck in under the £1,000 Cycle to Work scheme bracket, enabling dealers offer electric bikes to the commuter. The 700c wheel Glide Two sits will cost £999.99 and offer a 36 volt, ten amp, Lithium Ferrous Phosphate setup – an industry first.

LFP has a few new advantages, notably that the battery is chemically stable, very safe and much more environmentally friendly than other types of battery. The biggest advantage, however, is the charge life. LFP can be charged over 1,500 times, with some lab tests topping 2,000 charge cycles. Lead Acid batteries typically manage 400.

For £799.99, customers will be able to roll away on a 26-inch wheel, 24-volt, Lithium Ion powered bicycle.

Falcon Cycles takes stock of both models later this month (July) and can be contacted on 01652 656000.
