Finance schemes help buoy bike dealer sales

Finance-funded sales rise 30 per cent in bike retail

Sales in the bike retail sector using finance rose by over 30 per cent in July and September, compared with the same months in 2010, like-for-like.

The encouraging statistics come from ActSmart, recording sales through its ‘Ride It Away’ finance scheme.

ActSmart recently named Moneyway, provider of the Ride It Away scheme, its Partner of the Year 2011.

ActSmart’s Jonathan Harrison told BikeBiz: “Ride It Away retail finance provides a great option for retailers as an additional sales tool in this tough retail climate. It makes life easier for retailers and their customers, letting the retailer take full advantage of every sales opportunity and it helps customers buy what they’ve been dreaming about.

"It can be used to turn a browser’s interest into a completed sale and increase average order values. It really is one of the best tools available to increase sales.

“There is also the newly introduced low rate 4.9 per cent APR in addition to the popular zero per cent and 19.5 per cent APR options, giving retailers even more flexibility. For more information and to find out how you can boost your sales visit actsmart.biz or call 0845 618 7256.”
