New gravity protection range to debut at Fisher's dealer show

Fisher signs Bluegrass

Italian helmet manufacturer MET has launched a new protection brand named Bluegrass.

The gravity market-aimed brand will be on display for the first time at Fisher Outdoor Leisure’s Expo 2011, taking place at Sopwell House, St Albans from February 20th to 22nd.

The full range of full face and BMX-style helmets incorporate stylish designs and advanced venting for improved airflow.

A range of body protection products will join the helmet line-up, including spine protection as well as knee and elbow pads incorporating d30 tech or standard, foam pads. The likes of Sam Blenkinsopp have already put Bluegrass through its paces on the World Cup downhill circuit over the last year.

Top of the range Brave helmet has a fibre-glass outer shell and EPS inner with added airflow to the chin area. Claimed weight is 860-940g, depending on size (in three colourways). RRP is £125. Prices start with the full face Intox at £79.99.

The Bobcat elbow and knee pads feature the aforementioned d30 tech, allowing the pad to be soft and fluid in use, but hardening on impact. Prices range from £55 to £90 RRP for knee pads and £45 to £80 RRP for elbow pads.
