Two MY2016 launches take place this week for dealers

Fisher: ‘We’ve seen exceptional growth with the new LOOK 795’

This week dealers get two chances to see the 2016 LOOK bike line-up, today in Windsor and in Barnsley on Thursday (23rd). We spoke with dedicated LOOK UK bikes sales manager Alan Lewis to learn what’s new with LOOK in the upcoming model year…

How has business been for LOOK over the last 12 months?
We have seen strong LOOK bike performance with exceptional growth on the new integrated LOOK 795 bike.

The new 2016 range has a new set of RRPs with a new entry price point bike – what led LOOK to offer that lower priced entry?
LOOK has always been a bike brand that many riders knew but was always price prohibitive. I was one of those consumers that had a list of dream bikes and bought the reality. LOOK want to change dreams into reality

How will the new RRPs affect dealer margins? Can they still expect similar or better margins?
That’s a good question. LOOK employed a Bike team to source OE and scale production up. The global bike growth from LOOK has enabled them to start passing on these benefits.

LOOK is famed for its work in integration. Is that something we can expect to see continued in the latest ranges?
LOOK’s integration is designed to improve the performance of the bike. This will continue and there are more special designs to improve ride performance in 2015/16.

For the first time LOOK has a dedicated UK based sales and marketing manager. How do you see this benefitting UK LOOK dealers?
It’s great to have come on board with Fisher at a time when they are increasing their investment in the LOOK Bike range. For me dealers will benefit mostly from having a dedicated point of contact. I will be on hand to deliver sales and technical training in store, plus I’ll be taking a demo fleet out on the road and attending dealer demo days. As I am only be focused on LOOK bikes, it gives me more time to spend on marketing activities, so expect to see more social media communications and definitely more presence in the media.

You’ve a couple of UK launches this week where dealers can see the new ranges in person – will there be chance to ride the bikes at the events?
Dealers will have a presentation on the new range from a product manager from the look factory then after a nice lunch they will get the chance to test ride the new range.

And now you’ve dedicated showroom facilities for LOOK – can you tell us a bit more about those?
This will give dealers and opportunity to test ride the bikes away from the store with no distractions, we can also offer sales training at the same time.

What are your ambitions for the brand?
Our ambitions are to have significant growth with the right dealers in the right locations by making the LOOK brand a lot more visible in the market and providing greater support and assistance to the IBDs.
