Jim Turner, CEO of PEGTS said:
We are delighted at the prospect of working with Promech, our local cycle shops and the cycle industry, to what we hope will be a long and fruitful relationship. It is a great opportunity for local businesses to get involved in training and add value to their businesses.
Promech can now offer government funded training, as well as commercial training, either at its workshop in Aylesbury or at PEGTS workshop in Plymouth.
Alan Finch, Promechs MD said:
We are really pleased to be able to work with PEGTS and their LLSC to deliver the government-funded qualification and allow local businesses the opportunity to qualify their staff, for training, which perhaps, was not previously an option to them. We have a very experienced bike mechanic and trainer/assessor, Jim Watson, who previously worked with the Promech team at Aylesbury Training Group, who will deliver the training.
Promech is also planning to deliver cycle maintenance and repair courses for members of the public via the Park Tool School scheme.
