Brand new service takes bike fitting to the customer

Former pro cyclist sets up mobile bike fitting service

Drew Wilson has set up a specialist custom bike fitting service for individuals, Visualbikefit.

Pitched on the premise of offering a professional bike fitting service wherever the customer needs it, Visualbikefit comes to a rider’s workplace or even accompanies them to the bike shop, and is aimed at everyone from first time cyclists to experienced racers.

Wilson, an ex-pro cyclist, represented Scotland at three Commonwealth games, is a six times Scottish Road Champion and turned professional in 1994 after a successful trial with Banana Falcon in 93. Since then, Wilson has worked in the bike trade with a number of bike brands, including Ridley – where he was former sales manager for UK and Ireland.

Wilson told BikeBiz: "Visualbikefit was an idea that I had operating a door to door service at a time that meets the clients needs, this is a service that does ‘exactly what it says on the tin’.

"Visual means everything is done this way, no computers and no gimmicks, using the knowledge I have gained over the past 30 years of working with industry leaders including Ridley and Raleigh. I work closely now with Orbea and Kuota respectively."

Visualbikefit operates nationwide, including Republic of Ireland.
