Children's bike brand named 'Exporter of the Year'

Frog jumping for joy after Startup Award win

Lightweight kid’s bike brand Frog Bikes has won Exporter of the Year at the Startups Awards.

The Award comes in a big growth year for Frog Bikes, which are now available in 24 countries across the globe, with more than 700 independent bike retailers in the UK and mainland Europe, particularly Scandinavia.

The family owned business was founded in 2013 and was up against five other brands that have been selected for building a presence overseas, with router software company Netduma and Nespresso-compatible coffee capsule business Cafepod placing second and third respectively. Other finalsits included Popcorn brand, cosmetics firm Scaramouche & Fandango, and workspace design platform Opendesk.

The judging panel included Cath Kidston, Jon Wright (Innocent Drinks), Holly Tucker ( and Dragon’s Den regular Touker Suleyman.

In October, Frog hailed a ‘breakthrough‘ in kid’s bike design’.
