Future Publishing has signed a deal to publish its ninth Official Tour de France Guide.
Featuring interviews with three former winners, including Carlos Sastre, Alberto Contador and Lance Armstrong, the 228-page Guide will be accompanied by a DVD worth £12.99, and will retail for £9.99.
The 2009 Guide will include team analysis, tour history, exclusive details and route information.
“Partnering with the Tour de France Organisation on this Official Guide further cements Future’s position as the global leader in cycling media,” said group publisher Katherine Raderecht.
“Working closely with race HQ in Paris, we’ve managed to secure some exclusive details on the route and stages of the race, as well as incredible big-name contributors who add terrific insight into our coverage.
“The Guide itself is simply unmissable for both die-hard fans and those who got are new to the sport, or following the remarkable comeback of Lance Armstrong. The package comes with a fantastic DVD which really brings the excitement of previous years alive, and fans will want to hold on to forever.”
The 2009 Guide will be edited by Procycling’s Pete Cossins and will be available on Thursday June 4th.
