Gatorade takes to the streets for a Green Bottle Giveaway

This summer Gatorade is sending a group of riders around the country to reward cyclists who are riding with a Gatorade Green Bottle.

The BikeBiz Award Platinum Partner and Team Sky Performance partner started the giveaway on Sunday August 5th in St Albans and North London.

Dressed head-to-toe in black Gatorade Adidas cycling kit, the four or five-strong squad seeks out riders and then rewards them with a prize and Gatorade sample.

The Hit Squad will be riding routes in Blenheim/Oxfordshire on August 18th, then moving on to Manchester/Cheshire, as yet unspecified parts of Wales, Yeovil, Edinburgh and back again in North London before the end of the promo in early October.

Cyclists can find the riders or be in with a chance to found themselves by checking the ‘coffee and cake’ stops in advance at www.gatorade.co.uk/hitsquad.

"Hit Squad is all about rewarding our dedicated fans," said Gatorade marketing director Hayley Stringfellow. "The riders themselves will be a mix of our staff, suppliers, customers and athletes. On some of the rides there may be some very recognisable faces. We’ll be using Twitter (@GatoradeUK) to let people know what we’re up to so they can get involved”.

The Gatorade Hit Squad’s progress can be measured on Twitter with the hashtag #GHitSquad.
