Gatorade is lending its weight to the BikeBiz Awards 2012.
The brand is this year’s Platinum Partner for the cycle trade awards, which will take place at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, NEC on September 26th – the night before Cycle Show’s trade day.
Gatorade has been hitting the headlines for its deal with British Cycling, where it will be supplying hydration and hydration product to the GB Cycling and Para-Cycling Teams during Olympic year and beyond, featuring in high profile cycle ad campaigns with the likes of cycle star Victoria Pendleton. Team Sky also uses products from the Gatorade G Series Pro range.
The brand has also been focusing closely on the cycle trade with a new distribution deal with Chicken Cyclekit and now signing up to become Platinum Partner for the cycle industry awards.
"Gatorade is delighted to be supporting the BikeBiz Awards," enthused marketing manager Ashley Read. "With the launch of G-Series Pro in 2011 our number one priority was establishing the brand with Cyclists and Triathletes in the UK, without the support of our launch retail partners and colleagues at Chicken Cyclekit our successful launch wouldn’t have been possible.
"Throughout 2012/2013 we have a focused plan to support independent retailers and online retailers and leverage our Team Sky and British Cycling sponsorships in-store.
"Supporting the awards is a small way of saying ‘thank you’ to our retail partners for their hard work and commitment."
Early Bird ticket prices mean that the shrewd can get into the BikeBiz Awards 2012 night for less. Tickets cost just £20 before August 31st, and then £30 afterwards. The ticket include food and free drinks, as before.
