You've got to get to Chicago, mind. Damon Rinard, R&D engineer in Trek's Advanced Concept Group is giving a seminar on aerodynamics and the use of CFDesign simulation software, used to 'test' digital prototypes. One of Lance Armstrong's time trial bikes will star at the seminar.

Get the inside skinny on Trek’s R&D

Rinard will reveal how CFdesign helped Lance Armstrong win his seventh Tour de France and how Trek uses CFdesign to accelerate product development.

He has been with Trek for four years. During that time he has helped design Radial Ridge machined rims and Armstrong’s carbon fibre wheel hubs, among other projects. Most recently he contributed virtual wind tunnel simulations necessary to accelerate the development of Armstrog’s time trial bike, the Trek TTx.

The CFdesign Customer Forums are staged at the Chicago O’Hare Westin, November 8-9th, and at the Providence, RI Westin, November 17-18th.
