Brand leaps on opportunity of nationwide cycle celebration

Gocycle runs efficiency day for TGB Bike Week

Gocycle held an electric bike ‘Efficiency Day’ to promote its range ahead of this week’s Team Green Britain bike celebrations.

The Efficiency Day, hosted in the style of an old fashioned proficiency school event, saw cyclists compete for a £1,800 Gocycle at the Oval.

The latest Gocycle product was on hand at the event, with the firm declaring that Gocycle is the first-ever two-wheeler with a frame and wheels moulded from magnesium alloy, making it super light and extremely tough – ideal for the urban commuter market.

Gocycle pointed to statistics from the CTC that indicate there is a current 17-year high in cyclist numbers on the road, 42 per cent of which are commuters.

“Gocycle caters for all types of cyclist, whether you’re looking for an easy and enjoyable commute or are ready for a serious weekend workout,” explained Richard Thorpe, designer of Gocyle and founder of manufacturer Karbon Kinetics.

“Team Green Britain is aiming to show that cycling is for everyone, and we believe the versatility of Gocycle can prove it. Of course, being electric-powered means that Gocycle is also eco-friendly – another reason for you to ditch the car.”
