Gore Wear launches two new mountain bike jackets

Gore Wear has launched two new mountain bike jackets, “fit for puddles, splashes and mud spray”.

New to the Gore Wear collection for 2019, the Gore C5 Gore-Tex Infinium hybrid hooded jacket is a technical jacket that can be worn for a broad range of activities.

Predominantly made of Gore Windstopper Stretch Material, the Gore C5 Gore-Tex Infinium hybrid hooded jacket is as comfortable to wear as a softshell. Critical areas of the jacket, like the shoulders, upper body and arms, are constructed from a waterproof Gore-Tex Active material. Additionally, just like any fully equipped hardshell jacket, it offers puddle splash and mud spray protection to the seat area.

Gore Wear designer Kristina Mora said: “Under the Gore-Tex Infinium umbrella brand, we are now able to bring together the most advanced technologies to provide the best possible comfort and protection. In other words, we get as much out of the product as we possibly can.

“This makes the Gore C5 Gore-Tex Infinium hybrid hooded jacket a highly versatile jacket.”

There is also the Gore C5 Gore-Tex trail hooded jacket. While it is also light, ultra-packable and robust, the Gore C5 Gore-Tex trail hooded jacket is waterproof and yet still breathable.

Here too, the Gore Wear team has worked with a mixture of different fabrics. A strong and resilient ripstop Gore-Tex Paclite Plus laminate is used for specific areas of the jacket, on places like the elbows, shoulders and upper back. Primarily made of Gore-Tex Active fabric, this jacket is particularly notable for its comfort performance.
